Devold expedition hoodie

If I could have only one long sleeved shirt, the expedition hoodie from the Norwegian Devold company would be it, why?
First of all, it's made from soft merino wool so it feels very good to wear, and keeps me warm even when damp.
But also, in my opinion, Devold just nailed the fit of this thing, add to that a hood that will make you look like an astronaut, but more importantly, will provide you with just that extra insulation you need under a helmet, shell or when you forgot to bring your beanie.
On the end of the sleeves some wrist gaiters with thumb holes are sewn on, they can be folded up on the inside, but I never use that feature, I just use the gaiters for extra sleeve length, and then cover my hands if I feel cold.
This leads me to the most important feature, it keeps me warm!
Chilly summer evening = Devold as jacket
Autumn and spring = Devold as jacket / mid layer under a shell if it rains
Winter = Devold as mid layer

Fortunately the merino wool fabric means that the shirt doesn't need to be washed that often, cause I wear it almost every day except in summer, but I bring it in my pack wherever I go.

Recommend temperatures when walking/exploring:
Base layer: -5 and colder
Mid layer: -5 to 15
Outer layer: 15 to 25
